Are we allowed to be told what the "catch" is then?
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

How much are you making now?
It's a pretty big "catch". They are assuming that you wish to stay for more than a year.
Up to you though.

Don't do it.
Seriously. Remember how much managership sucked at Domino's? Plus, when would you have time to do it what with school & all? Next thing you'll know, you'll be there for 18 years & the sherriff thing will have been pissed out the window with the grease.

Alternatively negotiate. Say you are willing to commit to 3 months rather than 6 as a training manager on the salary they suggest. On the understanding that after those three months you move up to full manager and big pay check. If you make it clear that the $6 an hour is effectively a pay cut and that you can't sustain the loss for more than 3 months they might be able to accomodate you. I do a similar thing all the time with training courses the company pays for. You are supposed to sign up to a further 2 years with the company for everything they pay for. I have always managed to get it down to 6 months. Might be worth a try.
