they stand for Bernard Jr. Going by Bernard or Bernie (as my dad is called) is even less appealing to me.

"Bern", perhaps? It's nothing I've ever heard before, but it doesn't sound particularly bad, at least not to me.

"If my initials stood for something like Brian, I might go by that, but they stand for Bernard Jr. Going by Bernard or Bernie (as my dad is called) is even less appealing to me."

Why not "Ben"?

And, if the 'J' stands for "junior", why didn't you use one of your actual initials: your middle or last?

Bernard JuniOr?

Or do you mean J.R? It's been fifteen years but it still feels tainted by Larry Hagman...

It's a moot point as to what I'm called, since I'll be 30 this year and have no intention of changing it now. Anyone that would want to make fun of my name at this point would certainly be well below me on the intelligence scale.

Besides, kids can be cruel at times, no matter what your name is. If they want to make fun of someone, they'll use any name and distort it into something degrading. My name just happened to make it easier.

True. But kids also tend to make fun of the easiest target. And if there's two lads, one called "SuperGayEustaceWhoTakesItUpTheArseFromOldLadiesWhoUseDildos", and another called "Steve", then they're likely to pick on the first one.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

SuperGayEustaceWhoTakesItUpTheArseFromOldLadiesWhoUseDildos was our first choice!! Now we have to find something different.

Sorry.

Avoid "Eugine", too. And "Woody". And any name that has a hyphen in the middle.
