I've never had any issues with Quicktime.... then again, I try to avoid it like the plague, so that could be why.

Me too, but neither the MPlayer nor VLC plugins seem to run .movs in FF on Windows (VLC plugin works fine in Linux, but the MPlayer plugin crashes FF in Linux ). P'raps I've fucked the configuration up, it wouldn't be the first time something that is entirely my fault...
