In previous threads from around a year or two ago, there was a mention of something about 'a home in space' streaking like stars into the atmosphere - people put it down to referring to the Mir Space Station destruction. Maybe it wasn't. Then people like to go make snide remarks. Maybe a little digging up on previous threads? I'm just as legitamate as Fox News Channel here people... I remember something someone posted to the forums, you decide (except I don't have a polarised view that I try to ram down your throat at every opportunity).

So how does the Columbia disaster mean the End Of The World As We Know It? Unless of course, mister prophet meant the 2nd Gulf War following the Columbia disaster

You make a prophecy vague enough, and it will ALWAYS seem to come true at some point in the future. Depending on how you interpret one, you can apply its meaning to everything from World War Three and the subsequent End Of The World [Again] to next week's BASEBALL game.

People who believe in prophecies are stupid ass-monkeys.

While I take personal offense to the use of the derogatory term "stupid ass-monkeys," I wholly agree with the sentiment of your statement.

*Initiate Sarcasm Machine*
Prophecies were nothing more than smart people making fun of dumb people in the olden days when they didn't have wonderfully clever remarks like "Stupid ass-monkeys"

I agree prophecies are so general, they could relate to almost any event or person. Like horoscopes. Most prophecies nowadays are more for amusement. They're the things you see on the National Enquirer (Is that spelled right?)
(That is the one with the stupid stories like terrorists planning to blow up the internet, and Hitler predicts Internet Porn? Right?)

The sad thing is that some people think it's amusing to come up with shit like that... I think it's completely inappropriate.
But then, what do I know, anyway?

I'm JUST saying I remember the discussion back last year or so about 'prophecies' etc. and the Mir crash-down and I say hey it might have referred to Columbia? And I get a called a stupid ass monkey??
Delenn expresses it best:
