I hope something good comes out of this. They may have been worth more alive, if only to hear them bitch and whine Milosevic-style in front of a war tribunal. Before being hung by their own countrymen.

And I was so looking forward to the movie about the "Son of Saddam" killings in Baghdad.

As much as I may despise these two individuals, it does not answer the penultimate question: where are those goddamned WMD's that we were supposed to be so afraid about and which was the reason we invaded Iraq in the first place?

There is a line from that movie with The Starey Kid and Rudy and Fu-Manchu and the pitcher from that one movie with Sandra Bullock and it's about like, a mountain or jewelry or shit, that's seemingly appropriate here.

Yup, we got potential Congressional enquiries on one side of the pond, actual judicial enquiries on the other, but, hey! We actually managed to kill a couple of real actual evil Iraqis! As opposed to the other, non-evil kind, which are way more populous and easier to hit! Truly, they now have got the power up and could well win the game! As Bill Hicks said, put on the Hammer album, I'm ready to dance!

This is a brief shining moment in our Iraqi war. As for the WMDS, they could have been destroyed, hidden, or shipped. Considering six months for the search (three by UN, three by US), I would say the WMDS are either destroyed or shipped. Shipped to? Who knows.

Yes, but you see, IF they were hidden or shipped, then Saddam WASN'T the IMMEDIATE threat to global security he was made out to be (yes, Omega, THE reason to invade, not the revisionist bullshit that began to creep into the news AFTER Saddam was kicked from Baghdad and AFTER those WMDs proved embarrassingly elusive). And if they were destroyed, then that reason would have been NULLIFIED ALTOGETHER!
No, either they were all accidentally bombed into traceless oblivion, which would be a DAMN shame for Bush and his compatriots (not to mention dubious, considering Saddam's reputed vast stockpiles), or they were hauled out of Iraq without ANYONE noticing (even MORE dubious, given the strictly enforced embargo), or... SOME people lied through their TEETH.

Yeah, because WE DO have the right to be just as evil, don't we? They're dead. Let it rest.

No, no, no, NO!!!! Four wrongs squared, times two wrongs to the fourth power, divided by a particular formula, DO make a Right.
