The government is secretly collecting the phone records of millions of Americans. ADVERTISEMENT
Stop and think for a moment about the meaning of that simple, startling fact, exposed Thursday in a remarkable report by USA TODAY's Leslie Cauley.
In the narrowest interpretation, of course, it is benign. Possibly even helpful. It means that the National Security Agency (NSA) - the Pentagon-run spy agency that monitors communications - is using a new tool to hunt terrorists: Monitor phone traffic to identify threats and stop them.
Qwest being the only one the resisted the shits.

I mentioned this the the "wiretapping" thread yesterday. The White House stated that "it's only to track Al Queda" and some Democrat said "Are you telling me that TENS OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS ARE WORKING WITH AL QUEDA!?!"
Hi-Larious.
Jay pointed out that Bush's popularity has slid even further.
In what seems a victory for insanity, CNN now has a ultra-conservative editorial rant show...they've become as bad a FOX when I was not watching. Now I'm definitely not watching!

I hope something big and unexpected happens in your country soon. Big enough to warrant a series of feature length movies later, but not so big so as to create a body count. On a scale of one to ten on the Kiefer scale, I'd say three, tops. Three Kiefers going into and out of cars, talking on cells. Perhaps with a baby chair in the passenger seat, to show that there's more to life than politics.

Actually, to be honest...as a standalone novel, Da Vinci Code isn't BAD. It's only when you look at everything else Dan Brown has done & realize he's written the same book 4 times that you see the bad. A small part of me wants to see the movie because, well....Audrey Tautou! Jean Reno! Alfred Molina!

That's because I am your bio teacher! Join me, and we'll dissect frogs together...possibly spelling and grammar as well.
