Well ... see, if women can be police officers (and yes, there are women on SWAT teams), why couldn't they be in combat?

There's no reason for them not to be in combat. They can be Army grunts or Jarheads all they want, it'd just be quite difficult for any woman to become a SEAL. If one someday makes it, then fine, but I highly doubt women will ever become a significant portion of SEAL teams, if at all.

Logistics and hygien, these are the only reasons. I have met some women at rangers orientation that were kickass troops, but even some of them agreed that the logistics of it were almost impossible.
You are attempting to compare apples and oranges with police type work, and being up to your ass in filthy water type work.

I still think a woman given the right training can be just as good in the field as myself given the same training. And while the military may not of accepted women 100% equally to men, I think they should still be included in the draft.

And I don't mean a specific equal rights group. When I was a junior in high school in my American History class the subject was brought up.

Yes, trained identically there are women that will do an outstanding job in the field. But wars cost money, financially, how much is it worth to the world to have women in combat? Especially in these times of budget cuts?

More new taxes to put Susie Q. out in the woods for six days, replace her with Martha Stewart for six days, then have Madonna for 6 days, then etc.....
10 more trips to the woods for these women than for a single male battalion, 10 times as many aircraft/trucks needed, ten times the taxes.....

This is all here for me.

Thank You.

I'll even be their drill-sergeant! I know all the tricks!
