India's first nuclear detonation was in 1974. That's MORE than 25 years.
Pakistan's however, first tested in 1998.. though It was suspected to have had the weapons for some time before that.

I'm not so sure on my modern, (1970-present), foreign history, but wasn't India for a long time considered one of the "fence-sitter" nations? Nonaligned?

Well, you guys got nothing to worry about, unless Monaco, or god forbid the Vatican decides to declare war on you, with their millions of troops jets tanks and nukes, you could never survive the war.
