Nevermind, I got 'em.

But in its palce, this question - I'm downloading these new ships from bcfiles.com, but they're not showing up in Quick Battle mode. Are they only for multiplayer, or am I missing something here? I wanna play the Enterprise B or the New Orleans!

Great game. Much much better than StarFleet Command. That game was too much like work.

I've figured out how to play the other ships. I'm getting quite the perverse pleasure playing almost every ship that has ever shown up in Trek, from the Miranda to the Nova. The Nebula-class bridge is a wonderful stand-in as a brdge set for almost any of these ships!
