Actually, Ron Moore explicitly stated that "200 years" was a mistake, not a revision. He remembered Khan's "On Earth, 200 years ago, I was a prince." and forgot to add an extra century. Of course, he made a double mistake since Khan's own reference was off by a hundred years.

But, by the same logic, anyone who believes 1305-E also has to believe that the wars happened in the 1990s and around the 2060s. This is where preference enters into it...
