They've said it on the show. One example I can think of is in "Trials and Tribble-ations". While they're in the bar on K-7, one of them asks for a raktajino and has to explain to the waitress that it's a Klingon coffee.

What TSN said, plus I seem to remember another reference to it being a Klingon drink.

"Calms the nerves" - that was in "Paradise Lost" wasn't it?

It is possible to buy "official" Klingon raktajino coffee beans. I've seen packs in a local collectables store. They have a pic of Gowron on the package. I haven't tried it though. They have all sorts of Trek coffees and hot chocolates. Anyway, I'm pretty sure they're imported from the US.

Raktajino has either been mentioned in "Dax" or the ep with Vash coming to DS9. I remember recently hearing Bashir explain it in one of the two eps, probably the former.

I love the cable here in US...Saturday 17:00 = TNG (misc eps), 19:00 DS9 Season 1, Sunday 1:30 TNG Season 7, 2:30 DS9 Season 5, Monday-Friday 23:30 VOY (misc eps), Saturday/Sunday VOY Season 1, Wednesday 21:00 Voy Season 6. Too bad I can't catch TOS on SciFi as well.
