Smeg is referenced to the british sci-fi series called red dwarf. The main character lister says SMEG a lot. What i want to know is when the star trek movies will be released in the UK on DVD and when the equinox part 2 episode is released as well.

Actually, they all say "smeg" a lot. As for what it means... Well, in the show, it's just an all-purpose euphemism (e.g. "What the smeg?", "Smegging hell", "Smeg off", etc.). It's not a real word, but there is an English word that's similar. Erm... I'll leave you to look it up yourself...

I live in The Netherlands, I have to buy UK import to get the tapes before the subtitled versions are here. So, yes, the Insurrection video (widescreen and normal) is released in the UK.
As for the Voyager tapes, I have heard 2 versions: 1: The first tape (with Equinox, part 2) will hit the stores in the last week of Februari. 2: The 3 first tapes will be released April 3rd/4th. The same day Star Wars 1 is supposed to be released.

There's Reading for you. I've known of the existence of the widescreen format for a while, but since I'm still a VERY poor student, can't afford a widescreen TV set. I'm therefore stuck with my little 14 inch TV set and antiquated VCR.
All donations would be welcome.

Just after we'd got our loan, me and my mate went out to buy a TV. Now, we could have got a 20" widescreen for about 250. But thhen we deceided to get a 28 inch normal for about 220.
That's the great thing about WS TV's, they've really dropped the price of normal ones. All you ave to do is drape some curtains along the top and bottom, and you're watching a widescreen. Bonza.
Isn't the WS Insurrection in one of thosefunky hard cardboard boxes, like the STVI tape?

In fac: You also see the black 'bands' on a widescreen TV, because a WSTV is 16:9 and the movie is 23.5:10 (or 21.5:10 I don't exactly know).

I've seen in shops this week a version in a shiny box that does her head in if you look at it too much. It carried no mention of being Widescreen.
In HMV, however, I spied a video in a simple cae, with a pic on the front on its side and the legend "Widesceen". And sure enough, inside is a no-frills widescreen version.
Or so it says...I haven't been able to watch it yet!!!
