In the STNG episode conspiracy, when Riker and Picard are firing at the Mother creature, Riker raises his phaser to shoot commander wotshis-faces head. Riker is on the right but the left phaser beam raises for the kill - a bit out of character for Picard, Don't you think?
Riker is on Picard's left facing the camera. When the screen switches to face Remmick, Riker's phaser beam SHOULD be on the left side.

I can't remember which episode, it might have been "Family" or "Brothers", but Riker congratulates Data on his first metaphor, when he had actually used a simile.

Besides, I don't think it counts as a nit. Riker's hardly the celeverest chap in the universe, is he?

Right, just remember "Starship Mine": what were the terrorists after? The residue Trilithium. What's Riker's comment in "Generations" about that matter? "Trilithium? What on Earth is that supposed to be?" Probably he skipped the "Basic Warp Propulsion Systems" class at the academy. ;-)

If you look at the 2nd level railing, you can see people walking around. The same two gold-shirt Starfleet officers walk back and forth, out of camera range, then back on again. I just noticed this watching the ep again and I thought it was amusing ...

Actually, if you look closely enough in any television show depicting crowds walking back and forth, you'll tend to see that kind of thing with extras. A few years ago I was an extra on Homicide: Life on the Street, and I was told to simply walk back and forth in front of the camera while shooting was going on. It was probably more pronounced here because the extra's uniforms stood out more than regular clothes do.

Speaking of Homicide, I was just down at JHU. Er. I thought I'd just throw that in.
