If it was a generic chancellor designator, shouldn't we have seen it at least once afterwards with all those times Gowron showed up?

Is it me or did I see that symbol before in the model of the Vulcan ship in the TNG episode Unification? I think I maybe wrong.

I was going to SAY that that plating on the first example looked like the colour of the hull plating on the Unification Vulcan ships...

Erm...the Vulcan ships had the IDIC symbol on them.

I don't think they were talking about the symbol, though, but rather what the metal underneath it looked like.

Okay, mybad...but I've seen that symbol before in another episode. I'm not sure where though...
