About Mrs. Wildmon being pregnant and not knowing it.

1. This is possible, even among humans, although it tends to occur mostly to "larger" women. It's called a "hidden" pregnancy.

2. Perhaps Ktarian or Ktarian/Human hybrids have a much longer early gestation period, and the fetus grows slowly in its first several months.

First: I would agree with that especially considering how fast she shot up once Sam pushed her out. My Lord, how old is the actress that plays her? 6 or 7?

Er... She would notice she was pregnant long before her uniforms stopped fitting. There are certain other biological indications, y'know...

Not always, and perhaps not with cross-species matings. Who knows how an alien pregnancy might affect things like the menstrual cycle? (I assume that's what you mean)

Perhaps it wasn't the pregnancy itself, but the medical process nesecary for it to take. Jadzia and Worf had to have some medical help. Maybe it's the same for most inter-special matings, and perhaps that's one of the side-effects. Or maybe women in the 24th century got sick of dealing with such things, and they just take a hypo to keep their periods in check. I doubt they'll ever mention it if that's the case.

Well, Omega's idea(s) seems to be the only possibility, really. I mean, if her menstrual cycle weren't interrupted by the preganacy, the kid wouldn't last too long. I mean, talk about throwing the baby out w/ the bathwater...!

Good grief, what have I started? Since when do we discuss biology around here?! *LOL*

Er, there are many instances of menstruation not tipping anybody off in regards to possible pregnancies. It isn't a perfect little cycle for many women.
