Perhaps they did in fact forget about that whole incident, it just took a while for the changes to the timeline to "ripple through," as seen in the TCW episodes. It would be funny if, say, three minutes after their discussion at the end of "E²" T'Pol and Archer suddenly couldn't remember what they'd been talking about. [Wink]
