You thickened up that silly "fin" thing under the nacelle.....intresting. It still makes the nacelle look like it has a heel though.
Bueatiful panel work on this ship: the odd shape behind the bridge dome in particular.
This is your best rendering to date, IMHO.

I've always thought it was some sort of sensor suit or observation cupola, or possibly some engineering support equipment. Most Federation starships have some sort of hull at the bottommost part, containing stuff like the antimater generator, antimatter pods, antisocial crewmen...

Hey, there's a thought. The core has to go SOMEWHERE, and if the Freedom's nacelle is anything like the GCS, then there's a nacelle control room space there that can be easily used to connect to the warp core.. Or even to house Engineering itself.

It's a "timeout room" for unruly crew/ passengers.
On some ships, it's converted to a huge jacizzi: for those mack-daddy captains.
