The end is near! When ENT wraps up, we'll be back to our own devices in figuring out the early history of Starfleet. Meanwhile, here's another update of the old Guide thing, now with some accuratizing. I've tried to match things with the Fleet strength charts of "Ships of the Star Fleet" a bit better, and almost everything fits with reasonable shoehorning. I'm at a loss to come up with more than eighty "cruisers" (CA) for 2268, though...
New ship classes include a few command ships, old light cruisers, some escorts, and several small craft - courtesy of reading up on FASA stuff and discussions with the SotSF people. Missing is e.g. inspiration for a cruiser between Enterprise (the ENT one) and Horizon, called Advance class in Spaceflight Chronology. Some thoughts about the "logic" used in compiling the Guide are added to the very end.
Since FlareUpLoad starts to gag after 1 MB, and since I'm still in the habit of moving these things around on 3� in floppies anyway, the Guide is split in two zip files for your inconvenience. For Part I, click here , and for Parts II and III, click here .
