Here is the ship which contains the tranporter room I posted here earlier. It is a carrier and will be entered into the Carrier contest at SFA upon completion. This ship was lunched just after the end of the Enterprise B's first five year mission. It is basically a modularized Constellation with Excelsior leanings. It will have a Nebula type sensor pod mounted on top of the two upper 'necks' (for lack of a better term). These images illustrate some self-illumination techniques I am trying out. Please let me know what you think.

Ahh, a severely beefed up Constellation-design! I've thought about that idea. Very nice, but can you brighten it up a little? I can't make out many details... Why are the pictures named "hornet"?

Dude, you need to turn your monitor brightness up. They are supposed to be somewhat dark, because this is a test of the self-illumination, so I couldn't have bright lights. Nevertheless, I can see all the detail perfectly on both of my computers.
As for the hornet filename, there was a previous Midway design that was the same parts arranged in Excelsior fashion. I decided to create this version and resaved the scene with the class name. The USS Midway is a Hornet class multi-role carrier.

Just wondering, but what is the ship named after specifically? The battle, the carrier, the airport, or one of the two airlines?

Shipmaster: The battle, of course. The carrier was named after the battle; I've never even heard of the airlines, and the airport isn't worth naming something after (I should know, I flew a prop from there to Cincinnatti once - used to live in Chicago).

Y'know, I really wish you'd stop posting full pictures. It's a monster pain in the ass to keep having to load up, & for every new set, there's more bandwidth eaten.
What, links don't work for people any more?
