... pegs along towards completion. Since I couldn't figure out how to resize those fucking images outside of uploading them to my blog ... I figured, hell, why not just upload them to my blog? Or the photoblog, anyway.

So click here!!!!

There are some very competent computer programs out there that can help you resize your images. For the sake of your readers (visitors), I'd strongly suggest finding one. Think of the readers, man! [Wink]

(Plus, I'd assume that your site's hosting terms probably have a bandwidth cap... at some point, that'll come into play as more people start visiting your site. Images eat up the bandwidth a hell of a lot faster than text!)

Well, I was able to resize them on the blog . They're very manageable. Did you look?

I like what you've done so far; I think it looks really neat. I especially like all the small touches you pointed out on that page: the fire extinguisher, valves, etc. In the gallery picture, are those supposed to be guardrails in front of the portholes?

I do wonder, though, were the Navy officers' uniforms come from. Seems like I've seen them somewhere long, long ago in a place far, far away.

The CPO's uniforms are a lightly modified Lobot, as well. Actually, if you take a look at the Marine armor, it's the Boba Fett torso with new legs, a regular head, helmet, and backback (and rifle).

You seem to have some Star Wars aliens among your crew....though that's not as strange as a bright ping pipe along the ceiling, I suppose.

The file sizes are still huge, I'm betting they aren't compressed at all.

What battleship is it going to be? My favorite is the last South Dakota class, like BB-58.
Not as large as the Iowa, more manageable.
That's also why I like the Ambassador or Nebula over the Galaxy class.

"Think of the readers, man!"

Well, he doesn't have any, so that's not really a problem, is it?

Anyway, what with me know knowing how to do the whole resizing thing ...

...your appetite, a group photo of a majority of the crew.

 -

The ship boasts a crew of forty-nine officers, men and Marines. A closeup of the ship's senior staff:

 -

From left to right: Marine Staff Sergeant, commander of Marine Detachment; Navy Lt. Commander, Executive Officer; Navy Commander, Commanding Officer; Navy Lt. Commander, Chief Medical Officer; Navy Master Chief Petty Officer.
In red is the Rodian navigator - lieutenant grade.

 -

The Admiral inspects the ship.

 -

A Chief Petty Officer walks past NCO bunks in the forward section of the lower deck. In the compartment behind him are crew bunks.

If you look towards where the CPO is walking, you'll notice one of the ladder-wells, providing access to the upper deck. There are two of these wells, each with two ladders.

Typical NCO bunks house two each, with the exception of the MCPO, who has his own compartment. The MCPO's bunk has enough room for a desk & chair.

Forward of the crew bunks seen here (these house 8 crew, a larger compartment at the rear of the deck sleeps 20) is the Forward Torpedo Room, seen here:

 -

 -

In this image, a member of the ship's security detail walks towards the mess as a Marine stands guard in the ladder-well. Notice details such as the fire extinguisher and the crank-wheel on the piping.

 -

 -

Located at the center of the lower deck, the mess hall/galley can seat 12 enlisted and Marine personnel at a time, and features a wide variety of delicious food-packs produced by Chef Boyardee. Do you like the sneeze guard?

With crewmembers atop for scale, a beauty shot of the vessel:

 -

And the port side, as well:

 -

An interior view of the aft crew bunks:

 -

And the forward crew bunks:

 -

Detail shot of the ladder well here.

 -

Crew members carry a torpedo because they're too "buff" to have to use a cart. Tomorrow: they are buried.

And finally, the last reason you don't want to mess with these guys if you're a Lego guy - they've got friends:
