For the Ka, I have heard a variety of reactions from "Wow!" to "Can I go now?"
The Focus seems to be getting somewhat better reactions, on average. The Ka appears too small for American tastes (The Ford Contour replaced the Tempo and is rather cramped inside). The Focus, from what I've heard, has benefited from improved layout (Ford sez: "Don't call it 'Cab Forward'. It's 'New Edge.') and may force a Contour redesign to gain enough extra passenger space to be perceived as a step up.

Siegfried: a) Oooohhh.......a 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier GL? They RULE. My dad's car is a Cavalier and I drive it all the time.
Welp! Fine, Montgomery! =) Time to contribute my piece! Check out my dad's 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier:
I, unlike the rest of you, is not an adult. And thus does not own a car (But I have my Class 7L Licence! .....so I'll just show yah the car I DRIVE, regardless if it's mine. Hehe.

AND WHILE I'm here, I'd just like to RANT about THIS:
It's ICBC's (the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) new approach to "bad" new drivers like myself. It's called the Learner Stage in GRADUATED LICENCING! HA! Hehe! No, you can't just walk in and get your Leaner's Permit. NO way. Not in the Province with the Highest Crash Rate in Cana-Duh! You must spend 6 months in a so-called "Learner Stage", where you must display THAT hideous thing on your car *points to the obscene L above*, be restricted to 5AM-Midnight driving, have a limit of one passenger plus your Licenced Co-Pilot, and have a Zero B.A.C (Blood Alcohol Content).....but the latter doesen't bother me. I do not drink like most 16-year-olds, and BE DAMNED if I would drink while DRIVING. *LOL* My piece said. Bye now. :P

Cody, I'm in phase one of the graduated licensing myself, in Ontario. Please, don't complain about it. Car crashes have taken too many people away from my family. If this saves one life, then it's worth it, inconvenience (and admittedly ugly L) be damned.
Thank you.
------------------ Josh: I think they're getting to know each other a bit too well, if you catch my drift. Me: Oh, I agree. I think they're spending too much time together, that is of course, if you catch my drift. Asher: I think he's *ucking her, and he's cheating on his wife, and he's risking his marriage, and if his wife finds out about it she'll leave him and take their son, and his life will be ruined. If you catch my drift...

Jaresh Inyo: I'm sorry about the car crashes........that is sad......
But I am not complaining; I am actually not too much against the logic behind the Graduated Licencing program. The L for example......It is not ugly. And it lets me, actually, show off my hopefully good driving skills in the Learner's Stage. So if I were to be an optomist, HYPOTHETICALLY just this once, I'd say the L is a good thing. And about the restrictions.......5AM-Midnight is good enough for me. I drove on the Transcanada for 40 Kilometers in pitch black, on my way back to Spences Bridge from Cache Creek with my dad. And you know what? It's an experince I DON'T care to repeat. And I've already stated how I do not drink, and wouldn't drive drunk if I did. Too much is at risk here, people!

BTW, I seem to have forgotten to post what I AM against in the Graduated Licensing program. I'm against anything that caters to the "LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR", i.e. the student in school that reads at a snail's pace and requires help on every third word, and the class that has to read AT THAT PACE; or the 16-year-olds that drive drunk, way too fast, and carelessly, requiring all the other 16-year-olds that are NOT stupid to adhere to rules made for MORONS (the graduated licensing program). I'm not against the Graduated Licensing Program. I'm Against the prepubescent morons that caused it to be put into effect. >:P @ Them

I don't need a minivan, but it was sort of given to me, and I wasn't going to complain.

I passed my driving test a year and a half ago, but haven't driven since, partly because I can't afford a car and partly because if my father insured me on his car as a second driver, the insurance premium would jump about 500.(he checked it out and this was the quote). So for the moment, it's the buses or walking for me.
Anyway, my dream car would probably be a top of the range Mercedes or Ferrari. I'll find a picture and post it later.

Over here you have to have 6 months on your L's (similar to codys pic) where you must have a licensed driver in the car next to you. Then, you have 3 years on your p's from 18-21. WHere you can drive as long as you display the P logo. Of course you can get away with not doing it, and hoping you don't get pulled over *L*.

Over here, we're on L's until we pass the test, and then freedom. There was this government idea of using the P's too, but no-one used them (well, only a handful of people) so no-one bothers to enforce it.

If I knew how to insert a picture into my post I could show off my 1990 red (though officially called Wild Strawberry)Ford Escort GT. I have had it since 1990. It needs more than a few repairs but keeps on trucking.
