Although many popular newspapers seem to have a conservative bias on the surface, there is a surprisingly popular view in other media outlets (such as television and film) that Republicans are evil old politicians who only support evil old rich people and the Democrats are pillars of virtue who will make your lives better.

The press is a business just like any other out there and would shoot their own collective mothers for a buck. Sounds pretty conservative to me.
