Yep, time for that mandatory randomly-scheduled edition of "what the fuck are all y'alls listening to of late?"
I've been SUCH the music whore lately. In the past 6 weeks, I've acquired the following CDs:
Illumina & Japanese Dream, Alisha's Attic VIVA! La Woman, Cibo Matto The Trinity Sessions, Cowboy Junkies Make You Love, Vanessa Daou Envy, Eve's Plumb Fight Club soundtrack Gladiator: More Music (new just-released 2nd soundtrack) Hey Babe, Juliana Hatfield Timbre, Tongues & Tails, & Whaler, Sophie B. Hawkins Evolution, Magdalen Hsu-Li Silence, Tara MacLean Pi soundtrack Happy End Of The World, Pizzicato Five Run Lola Run soundtrack Brand New Knife, Happy Hour, & Pretty Little Baka Guy + Live In Japan, Shonen Knife Dig Me Out & The Hot Rock, Sleater-Kinney Life's Too Good, The Sugarcubes (the CD had extra tracks) Resolver, Veruca Salt
I've also burned a 2-CD writing mix, a battle mix, & a friend compiled a CD of all the songs from "Macross Plus" I didn't have.
SO much to listen to....

To comfort me on my many tasks in the great outdoors I have been highly dependant upon the Powerpuff Girls soundtrack, as well as the complete TMBG discography.

I own both the PPG & "Mononoke" CDs; love 'em both. Tora, if you can find it, get anything by Yoko Kanno. She's done stuff for "Macross Plus," "Cowboy Bebop," "Escaflowne," & other series.
GA: I really CAN'T afford them...well, I CAN, but..yeah. There's also the fact that the parent company of my store owns a shitload of music stores; all three of the ones in our mall, to be exact. So that 30% discount comes in really handy at times.
Of course 3 CDs (the Alisha's Attic & Magdalen Hsu-Li ones) came from Amazon, 2 of the Shonen Knife ones came from eBay, Make You Love is a burned copy of a French-only import which I'll replace with the "real" CD soon from Amazon, Envy I got from a housemate who didn't like it..oh, & I'm acquiring the "Earth: Final Conflict" CD from her as well, as long as I burn her a copy for her to keep. ------------------ "Gee, the public whipping didn't quite convey their fascist culture, I need something more straightforward. See, I KNEW I forgot something. My roommate/ex-girlfriend gave me a jazz sampler with some great stuff on it. Lots of Coltrane, Dinah Washington, Count Basie....yum.

I once had CD's.... my favorite was the Veggie Tales one (well, at least to torment people with when they were in my car) But then my car got stolen. And my CD's were not recovered, along with MANY other things. I'll never get to replace those CD's you know..... too much $$$.... I'm pretty broke :-P
