I warned people what I'd do if another of these threads was started.
Second of all *kills Napster* *or at least kicks its broken mutilated corpse*
THAT's for having me spend ages trying to download "There She Goes", while not paying attention, and finding out I've downloaded the bloody Sixpence None The Richer Version. ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
And finally: the Powerpuff Girls album? Is it any good? Is it related to the show at all? Do the voice actresses (and actors) pop up? Does Mojo (dear sweet Mojo) get a song? Huh?

You cannot harm one who has been touched by a Vorlon...& no, I DON'T mean Adam.
Yeah, the PPG CD is pretty good. I picked it up mainly for the Shonen Knife song (which is about Buttercup--how perfect!), but Mojo has his song done by Devo. It's happy, poppy, fluffy, & campy. Pure PPG.

Tim: Is THAT why Christians go on and on about Veggie Tales? I kept hearing about it but always managed to miss seeing an episode. Must be a sign.

Diane: VeggieTales are animated anthropomorphized vegetables that either act out biblical stories, or teach morality lessons. They're an insdious means to twist children's minds into being good little Christians. Basically, they're propaganda of the worst sort: targeted at children who can't know any better.

I have to agree, with Shik about Yokko Kanno. The first stuff i heard from her was the bebop soundtracks, and that's what turned me into a jazz lover.
I haven't picked up the Mononoke soundtrack yet, but I'm sur I can get a copy from Napster.

:::sighs::: I bought another Cowboy Junkies CD Friday...but only because I wanted to go flirt with Emily. Bought a copy of "My Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn as well; everybody & their brother's been telling me to read that book.
Solly: good call on the Coltrane. Go get Dear John Coltrane by Vanessa Daou. All the songs are about him, have strains of his influencing in them.

I AM RESURRECTION MASTARR!!
(No, really. I searched for this thread for a good 20 minutes. Even stopped staring lustily at Olaide to do it.)
During my, um, "absence," some folks who were in contact with me got interested in what I was listeneing to. Finally I have managed to get a current list of what is on Smilla, my iPod--of course, it'll probably increase this weekend--& thanks to Topher, it's now webposted. (WARNING. BIG gorram file)
All 11,031 songs...my entire music collection save a couple CDs I didn't put on & a few that only have select songs on them. I do so enjoy making mx CDs, too.

I only bought about 3 cds last year, and two of them were as gifts for my sister. But I also was given an ancient turntable last summer, so I started going to charity shops and picking up vinyl (now got around 300 7" singles).
