No, your missing a few things here. Let's not get too flippant. That Sehlat has been mentioned less than cranberry juice. Which has hardly been mentioned at all, however many times you hit it on a Search. We're talking about things that have entered the 'national consciousness' - hence, while we're aware that one or two obsessives keep boring us with Transformers talk, most of us couldn't be bothered.

I have a question... Who is Kevin Smith? *awaits torture for this outrageous enquiry*

Writer/director responsible for such masterworks as Clerks and Chasing Amy and, to a lesser extent, Mallrats. (Though I've never really found Mallrats to be all that bad. Not as good, certainly, but not horrible.)

Lee: THREE obsessives. And at least three other semi-obsessives. Transformers has been mentioned far more than Simpsons or South Park anyway.

I think that Lee's trying to compile a list of what people will remember when they think of all the symbols in different categories, all pertaining to Flare... Maybe.

Obsessive, huh? Well, too bad "Dare" was in the Transformers soundtrack. Otherwise, it could have perfect to change to "Flare," the offical Flare theme song.

Darlene: I read a lot of science fiction.
Herbert: Bless you, my child.
Kay: The world needs more people like you.

I'd say the Transformers are right up there w/ TMBG and curry. Each one has its little cult, while everyone else couldn't care less. :-)

And they're certainly mentioned more than that Smith guy, of whom I, too, had never heard.

I know that Sol is going to smite me, but I never like Clerks.

And one more cult that has yet to be talked about here, but was on a previous Flare cult thread: The Beatles.

We need some sort of reference to the Big Bum joke and interrogations.

------------------
From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return. Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals. Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you. ... Know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without. For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.

Jubes: That's why The Fast Show is in - it's from there. That reference alone probably puts it way ahead of Monty Python. . .

As for B5, it's probably the show that's been seen by most people here, after Trek of course.

And of course there is the fact that some of us actually like B5 better that Trek (well at least the newer stuff).

Here's a question, what Star Trek series would be the Flare Star Trek series? *runs away in fear*.

Oooohhh that's a toughy. I'm particularly partial to DS9...
