Got all four seasons of Futurama earlier in the year (In Australia) at half price or less.

They recently had a sale at JB Hi Fi with all four seasons for AUS$32 each.

Simpsons seasons 1, 2 and 3 AUS $36 dollars each (I should get them before they go back up)

Last year they had all (at that time) 6 seasons between $30 and $40 a set.

TREK though is still blood up in either high 100's or sometimes 200's. gah. I know it's an hour show with 26 (usually) episodes per season but... gah. AND I've already bought entire DS9 and Voyager on tape over the years.

I think I have to try and find out the AUD/EUR exchange rate to make sense of these prices...

Thanks for the info, Harry.
The only problem is, your version don't come with German soundtrack, do they?

I believe all of R2 gets essentially the same stuff, ie English, German and French (or was it Spanish) soundtracks, and the whole range of subtitles. With the possible exception of the UK.

I wonder.. are those the original German soundtracks? If so, what's going to happen to the Nazi episode? Is it still banned in Germany? Or do they have to redub it?

They re-Dubbed it to so the word "Ameerican" replaced "Nazi" and CGI'd the American flag onto their armbands...

Will they one-shot the TNG sets? 'Cause I don't know that I want entire seasons of that show. It's kind of nice for me and the old TOS release to just pick up the episodes I know I'll want to watch more than once. Fuck, at this point I this point I should probably just bit-torrent DS9.

There are a couple TNG themed packages. Like, there is one that advertises itself as "Jean-Luc Picard" episodes. And I think there are others. So that is maybe more what you're looking for, though I don't believe much of the series is covered this way.

I could see buying a 2 DVD TOS-Klingon-themed set of:
  • "Errand of Mercy"
  • "Trouble With Tribbles"
  • "Day of the Dove"
  • "Blood Oath"
  • "The Sword of Kahless"
  • "Flashback"
  • "Trials and Tribble-ations"
  • "Once More Unto the Breach"

If you're going to have Family, why not have Best of Both Worlds, and if that one why not All Good Things? And for good measure Captian's Holiday & Conspricy.

Which was the one with Picard being thrown back in time and he couldn't interact until they got closer to his real time?

REALLY sucked ass.
How about the first season episode where Picard gets posessed?

It could go nicely as part of a "Picard episodes that suck ass" DVD set. [Big Grin]
