Doing the steady wet boink with Chuckles or Seven isn't going to get them home any faster. PD elasticity might.

Yes, that's how the original Enterprise & the E-A were able to go so fast: they had supersecret Libido Drive to power them. All they did was plug Kirk in for a recharge once in a while. A more advanced system was on the E-D & they used Riker, while Defiant used Bashir, although he wasn't that effective. Voyager hadn't gotten theirs yet, so they couldn't use Tom.
