Agh!

The other thread has grown too large, so I just start a quick new one. I would show you the finished Norway, if I hadn't lost my password somwhere. I'll go and chack my backup disks, it has to be somwhere. Await an update in some minutes...

Here it is. Sorry for the delay, but everything that can possibly go wrong went wrong. Many of the details are gone at this size, but if I post a larger version, the 56k'ers are going to kill me.

Await an update on my page soon (not only the image, but something more... [Wink] )

And I'm currently planning another project and may need help. More tomorrow when I can present some more information. [Smile]

[EDIT] Version 1.1, some minor errors corrected, but nothing dramatic. [Smile]

Very nice artwork. First time I've seen a Norway pic this big. They really are ugly.

Actually, I don't think it looks bad.

Kyle, no need to post the entire pic, just a link will do.

Very cool. I like this ship. I don't know why, but I've never hated it as much as other people seem to.

But hey...I like the Yeager too...so it must just be me...

It's not just you. I like all the designs. Sure some could use some refinements especially those plastic model kitbashes, but generally they're good designs.

Count me, too. Te reason my second ship was the Medusa. I really thought about making another kitbash, but next will be the Soyuz, my TOS/Movie favourite. And the other project...

Ahh, nice!

Bewtiful [Wink]

At last a schematic that isn't from the bloody Encyclopaedia.

[Smile]

Two qualms - as always:

1. Nacelle 'grill' white? not blue - maybe a copper grill like in your Medusa pic!?!
2. I think the nacelles need to be a little wider.

Oh and you used my suggestion! WOO!

What next!?! Maybe you could try extrapolating a front view?? Do we have enough info?

At least most of it; since I had no idea how the front area (inside the 'hole') should look like, I used the arrangement of conduits and stuff given in the Encaclopedia-schematic and added some blue glow for a deflector (where else could it be? [Smile] ).

From what I've seen, the nacelle 'grids' are no grids at all. I retouched and corrected as much errors as possible, but the lower part of the nacelle (maybe the entire lower nacelle, not only a strip) is white. I thought it was just the light source making it appear to be white, but the other nacelle (the left) is white allthough in a shadow-area.

Wider in the top-view or in the sideview? I think they really look a bit flat in the sideview, but I even stretched them a but compared to the Encyclopedia-ship. Maybe it's just a problem of comparison; with the corrected saucer the ship is taller (contrary to the flattened version of the Encyclopedia with the strange bridge/neck-attachment), so this could be the reason. While the image I used is not that good for scaling, I'll check it nontheless; thanks for the suggestions! [Smile]

It could work, but it wouldn't reveal much new information. Nontheless, I was asked to do a frontview for the Niagara, too, and I did so, so why not? Maybe I can also create one for the Medusa. Weekend is near. [Wink]

(For the next 'new' project, probably a reconstruction of the Soyuz, the image from the FactFiles is ugly and incorrect. And my shuttlebay-project.

Well Bernd already has a fairly correctly side view of the Fact Files version of the Soyuz.

my biggest problem with the Fact Files versions of these ships is they portray the warp nacelles with a forward red glow and a blue glow, that has been seen on very few on the Constitution-refit designs.. plus nacelle details are shaped wrong

The width on the top view of the nacelles - the looked a little thin.

Can you explain the 'nacelle grill' thingies again? Their white? Remember that this was a quick model - that one clear picture. I liked the copper effect you used on the Medusa.

Thinking of other schematics... what about one of the nebula with the "Phoenix" type sensor module - or what ever it was.

This is the picture I used to determine the color of the ship's parts. Look at the left nacelle, it's white. The left nacelle could be grey but appears to be white because it reflects the bright light. But the left nacelle makes it clear thet the nacelles are white. (Nontheless, I can upload a copper version for you, give me some minutes, I just want to eat my Pizza. [Smile] )
