Not like they'll use that exact chair again anyway. They still have the replacement and the chair with the seatbelts.

Somebody's got ne baddass K chair in their basement somewhere.

I heard they lost the Reliant filming model as well....I don't know if that was ever found.

Indeed. I'm pretty sure it was the 4' E-D miniature anyway.
the 4-footer was used regularly even after TNG wrapped - i.e. DS9 - I don't think it's that one.

How the f*** can they be "losing" these models.

I mean, it's not like they can be dropped on the floor and overlooked. These things are bloody huge.

Plus greed.

In the US Army, it wasn't unknown for supply seargants to 'lose' anything from Jeeps to Surface-to-Air missiles.

Yeah, I've seen it. They did the final shot from "Raiders" in it.

The 4-footer was last filmed for "WotW" as the Venture. That gives plenty of time for the model to disappear, end up in a restaurant, get found, and feature in the TNG DVD special features.

Besides, IIRC it's possible to see the Venture rego number on the recovered miniature. There was screen caps but I can't find them now. The model looked more like the 4-footer than the 6-footer too.

Where to start...

Okay, about the stolen captain's chairs from Generations and Nemesis... Patrick Stewart said in an interview with Conan O'Brien that the E-D chair from Generations was stolen during the crash sequence. Then the Nemesis chair was also stolen during the end of filming for the movie, yet a lawyer contacted Paramount and "loaned" it for an undisclosed price. That lawyer still has the chair.

As for the 4 foot Galaxy Class models, I beleive the guy I met who worked in the art department said that the studio made about 4 to six ships from the moulds and destroyed them so no one else can make starships. One was used during the rest of the TNG series, a few went out to exhibitions and Planet Hollywood locations, and he snuck away with one unbuilt model. I am not quite sure how many were casted, but for all I know one was blown up for the Cause and Effect sequence since it was hollow.

Masao: Is that ship for real?? And the other one in the same poster? Or is it just some role-playing game like FASA or LUG or something else?

Nothing new (or good) in taht chart.
I could work with that strange Oberth variant though.
I doubt those were "in progress" anything, but rather poor renderings of limited refrences.
I never saw anything that matches those supposed "in progress designs" for Spacedock or the Oberth.
