If StarFleet Command offers you five ships and tells you to pick one, which will you pick? A brand new Excelsior-class A brand new Saber-class A brand new Norway-class A 15 year-old Nebula A torn-apart-during-the-war-and-then-repaired Galaxy

sorry, I posted this message to the wrong place. And then 5 minutes after I realized that I made a mistake, I did it again. I read about a topic and posted my thoughts about that topic on another topic...I'm just not myself today. The test this morning really messed up my head.

Depends what you've to do with the ship once you chose it. Cruise around and impress the ladies? Go off to repel a Dominion incursion? Play chicken with a star going through high flare activity?
In reply, respectively; Sovereign, Defiant, Intrepid.
But since these aren't on offer... I'd rather have the Nebula, ta. As long as I'm confident the mileometer hasn't been fiddled with and it is free of rust and extra baryon particles, etc.

Galaxy Class. Just cause of all the creature conforts. but why would a post-war repaired Galaxy be worse than a new one. I trust those pesky SF engineers.

Well, I might take the Excelsior, seeing as it's my favorite class. But, that's just based on looks, so... I think I'll take the Sabre. Nice, compact design. Harder for the baddies to hit... :-)

Galaxy, unless the carpets have been runied during the war.

I think they still make new Excelsior. I mean the majority of the fleets is Excelsior (and Miranda too). I'm sure they built new ones before and during the war.

Well, I reckon that Ambassadors are still produced - albeit sparingly - they are probably off continuing to patrol Federation boarders far from the warzone...
BTW, That brand new Excelsior - here's hoping that the insides are still that cool retro 2270's look.
