I realize trying the NX-2000 bridge would be a challenge, but one could be a hero in the process. JUst like the hero who would attempt other bridges not seen in STFF/STM like the A really fun book called Serpents Among The Ruins focuses on Enterprise B and mentions past "skirmishes with the Romulans" but I dont think it actually fires anything in the book. Worth reading though.

In any case, the NX bridge would probably be pretty dull. Unless there's something to it besides the featureless stations along the rim and the CO/Helm/Nav stations sitting on a single step-up pedestal in the middle, there's almost no point to trying to draw an iso of the set, as it wouldn't really add anything new.
But on that note, does anyone have larger DVD caps of the NX bridge? I don't think we've really scrutinized it, or the Grissom bridge before on Flare.

Found these two quotes with Google.

OK , I sit corrected. A hero, maybe not, greatful, certainly. I concur the bridge may not be that imteresting although it does have the seperate helm/nav stations plus the lights at the turbolift. In regards to the swagger stick, if anyone watched Dr Who during the Troughton to Sylvester McCoy eras, the Brigadier (Brigadier Alastair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart) often carried one. Of course, his was a simple black stick roughly the same length as Capt. Styles carries.

Biiiig diffrence between the British military of the 1950-60's and a Starfleet Captain in charge of what was then, the most imporntant project in the fleet.
Styles may have been an arrogant S.O.B. but he must have been something special to command the Excelsior.

Well, if we was a traitor to Starfleet's principles, he could be a TNG Admiral.

Styles wasn't necessarily anything spectacular. He was an administrator, probably only in charge of the NXcelsior in her shakedown phases. Remember, they were still in testing stages.
