What about a ring to repersent an Atlantis colony. I imagine that they would have resttled the area, even if it is still underwater. They would be great in all water sports.

Well in mine - check the date. PLUS there were only plans for raising the sea-floor in "Family" we don't know if they actually went ahead with it or even succeeded in doing it.

Not to mention all the delicate marine life that will suffer from even a 2 degree change. Flooding will be rough in costal areas and erosion will increase.
On the upside, we'll finally be rid of Venice.

(Uh, climate change as a result of global temperatures shifts is, of course, a real concern, but my point is that slapping a large chunk of earth in that path of the Gulf Stream is likely to have similar results.)
