For those wondering why I've seemingly ditched Trek for Comic Books, wonder no longer. I've recently taken the position of head colourist on this online comic. Hate to break it to you but Trek Art can get REALLY boring at times! Also for some reason Comic book based work gets taken more seriously in a professional portfolio.

Very nice work Rev... I do wonder why you haven't started to draw the Ladies of Trek comic series...
FYI: the Ladies of Trek idea was from an Entertainment Weekly when ST:TNG ended and they had a photoshoot of all the women of Star Trek featured.

You know, I've seen Reverend post that pic both here and at Toon Zone and didn't notice that shadow at all. Looks like Raven to me, what with the gem on the forehead and the hairdo.

The scary flying one was, the others were traced from existing model sheets. Mostly just so I could get the basic proportions correct. I used Max for Robin & Batgirl Beyond, Big Barda's body for Superwoman Beyond, Bruce in the Batman Beyond suit for Nightwing Beyond and Supergirl for...ugh...Supergirl.

OK, this is what I don't like: older Kara: the "S" symbol is completely uncrecognizable to me. I can't see letter S there. Is it intentional? And, I don't like her tunic. It looks very... old-fashioned to me.
younger Kara: I don't mean any disrespect, but... her symbol being semi-transparent just screams "fan service!"...

Well you're in luck because they were both intentional! The future "s" (I can't see it either) was established by Kal-El's appearance on Batman Beyond. See here. As for the cutout. Belive it or not it didn't look right without the clevage! I originall tried backing it with gold, yellow, red, dark blue, none of them look quite right. I only hit on the clevage trick by accident and it seamed to work.

I have been meaning to read DKA for roughly 7 billion years now. I will have a go this lunchtime, and praise your mad skillz.
And don't you love the idea of a reclusive sort-of-goth type girl why buries her face in shadow but walks around with completely bare legs? God bless comics.
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.
