I've got one more thing that I'd like to see tweeked... move the nacelles apart a fraction - maybe line up with the edges of the saucer?? At the moment it feels a little too... confined?? or something.

Very cool indeed, but somehow I ponder there has been a trade off between being able to see the neat blue warp plasma lighting at the expense of having the warp nacelle well armored.

*heh* Don't worry, Shakaar. I know exactly what you mean.
Balaam, I know who you are (but you don't seem to be able to remember my name ). This is a design I first came up with back in the Spring of 1989, and have been exploring and refining ever since, I now have the body of the ship almost locked, and am working on the deckplans (rough at first, just to help me with window placement). The lack of nacelles has bugged me almost since the beginning. Now that I'm getting this close to finalising the surface detailing, I want to have some engines to put in place, too...

Thats' exactly what I mean. And a very close-together U at that. Makes it all..odd lookin'. But...not my shop, so.
