I really want to see Peter using Sylar's original ability. Which, to me, seems totally out of place with everyone else's. The Ability to Understand How Things Work? He's not a Hero, he's a damn savant.
Oh, and I was reading the comics, and for anyone that hasn't read them, Eden discovered her power by telling her stepmom, "I wish you'd just die!" to which her stepmother responded, *dies.* Apparently her heart just stopped. Which has a Matrixlike feel to it - the body cannot live without the mind? Or Eden can convince people to do things on such a primal level that she can actually tell their brainstem, stop making your heart pump?

FYI: Hana's had a major role in a lot of the recent GNs, plus the ARG. It makes sense that a character whose power depends on the Internet has a greater presence online than on the show, I guess.

Another thing about SuperFutureSylar.... when he got the call from Parkman and took off, did I imagine it or did he leave a shock ring indicative of going supersonic? That would mean he was hitting 760 mph (1,220 km/h)

Nathan left a ring like that when he first flew getting away from Bennett and the Haitian. I don't think it's meant to indicate super sonic speed. In both instances it happened just as he changed direction.

Not that that's happened with other powers. He flew before he even knew Nathan had a power. And come to think of it, in Landslide he used Sylar's super hearing when he probably doesn't know that Sylar had it.

I dunno. Being able to know when something's broken and how to fix it without even looking seems pretty damned power-like to me.
And judging from the narration in that GN, I'm guessing it's the brainstem thing.

Peter doesn't have to know someone has a power to absorb it and use it. With Nathan being his brother and all he'd be around him plenty to absorb it.

All in all Petey should have MUCH more ability than Sylar. He obviously started absorbing Ted's ability while Ted was not manifesting it. SO:
Peter Petrelli:
Healing (Claire)
Radioactive (Ted)
Invisibility (Eccleston's character)
Read Minds (Parkman)
Foretelling / Painting (Isaak)
Flight (Nate "YOU VILLAIN!" Petrelli)
Super-hearing (Via Sylar)
Telekinesis (Via Sylar)
Ice Powers (Via Sylar)
The ability to Understand How Things Work (Via Sylar)
Molecular Control of Metals (Via Sylar)
Sylar:
Super-hearing
Foretelling / Painting (Isaak)
Telekinesis
Ice Powers
The ability to Understand How Things Work
Molecular Control of Metals
Plus, wasn't Future Sylar (in Nathan guise using Candice's power) in the proximity of the Haitian without having his power nullified?
Wasn't it more the molecular control of anything - I thought that guy who melted things did it to plastics as well?
Also he (Peter) would get the ability to manipulate time from his encounter on the train with Hiro.
Possible other flight skill that Sylar showed when he escaped from FBI Agent Hanson and Matt Parkman.
He would also have the ability to remember heaps of things through Sylar from the girl at the Burnt Toast diner.
He also possibly has his Father's power, his Mother's power (pity he couldn't get Linderman's power) and a possible power from the old man he was looking after... if he has a connection.
One other thing - in the on-line comics it details the history of Linderman and Papa Patrelli in Viet-nam. It never displayed any special ability for Patrelli.
ALSO For those wondering about Wireless - look at the online comics (easiest way is just to search Heroes on Wikipedia) and it gives you indepth stories on her character and how she 'wirelessly' communicates.

I thought he used Parkman's hearing thoughts ability in that instance.
Also - why couldn't Parkman hear Thompson coming up behind him??

I saw Landslide again yesterday, and Peter was worried that he couldn't defeat Sylar. I don't Peter is fully aware of all the powers he has. Also I don't think Papa Petrelli had any superpowers, but maybe he had political power which is what Linderman needed in order to make he scheme work. Perhaps Papa Petrelli killed himself because he felt guilty over what was going to happen.
