Yes, I'm fairly certain she is. I asked a friend of mine about the council members. This guy knows everything about all the EU stuff. He said she was dead but didn't give me the background. He sis tell me about the death of Yareel Poof in the Fett comic, though.
All the council members who were in Ep 1 but not in Ep 2 aren't in Ep 2 because they're dead.

I don't know how Yaddle died...but I'm going to try and find out, 'cause now I'm all curious.
Yes, Saesee Tiin was in Ep 2. You can see him pretty clearly in a few scenes.
I noticed Oppo's tail too...and I don't remember seeing it in Ep 1 either.
In the arena battle, you can see a bunch of Jedi fighting, mostly human, but some pretty cool alien guys. One of the human Jedi in the far background of several scenes is wielding two lightsabers as he skillfully dispatches several droids. I thought that was kind of cool.
There's also an oriental looking human female Jedi that's seen quite clearly in some of the group scenes. I know she has a name and is listed at that Force.net site. She's pretty cool looking too.

Probably not the right thread for it, but someone mentioned blasters, and I immediately remembered that Padme's new Guard Captain - Thybo, something like that - had the same blaster as Han Solo. That was just so cool. 8)

Presumably Captain Panaka is still the security officer to the new Queen.
Poor ole Yaddle
I think in some of the split second shots I saw some of those fekking back-street boys... or was it N-Sync - bah - anyway... doing a few swooping maneuvres... not that I know what they look like - but they looked very 'pretty boyish'.
Question - I wonder what happens to Naboo, that it doesn't feature in Ep IV V and VI.
I've also seen info that there was supposed to be a scene on Naboo where Padme and Annakin go and visit Padme's family on Naboo - it's a pity that was cut.
I wish they had also left in a scene that gave a bit more air time to Ki-Adi-Mundi and Pol Koon... they were - during the battle sequence off on their own separate task to destroy the power generators or at least turn them off - that powered the battle droids. Then all the Jedi cheer, but then the power is turned back on again.
Jedi v Robots suck - Jedi v something they could use more 'Force powers' would have been WAY cool.
And I might (just to answer other threads in the one post) have an explanation for the different light-sabre colours. If they indeed use crystals (it says in the vis encyc that Dookoo uses a sith artifical crystal that gives his sabre a little more power) then maybe the crystals that create the blue and green sabres are the easiest to find. Maybe Windu, with the purple sabre (and in the vis encyc it says he purpose-built his own) maybe on a mission or something found a very rare crystal (maybe it works better than the blue and green versions) and used that in his new Light Sabre.

I didn't understand why a few of the more powerful Jedi didn't call up a wind storm and tear a lot of droids apart. Or a lightning storm. Or some sort of storm.

Well, if they can utilize the Force (an all encompassing "energy field"), why COULDN'T they tell the wind "blow really hard in that direction"?
