Maybe here's a way to pay for Welfare Suleman's kids.

That is so far beyond sick and wrong that someone needs to invent a new word for it.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
The courage to change the things I cannot accept.
And the wisdom to hide the bodies of all the people I had to kill today because they pissed me off.

Asteroid Near-Miss
quote:
An asteroid about the size of one that blasted Siberia a century ago just buzzed by Earth.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory reported that the asteroid zoomed past Monday morning.

The asteroid named 2009 DD45 was about 48,800 miles from Earth. That is just twice the height of some telecommunications satellites and about a fifth of the distance to the Moon.

The space ball measured between 69 feet and 154 feet in diameter. The Planetary Society said that made it the same size as an asteroid that exploded over Siberia in 1908 and leveled more than 800 square miles of forest.

Most people probably didn't notice the cosmic close call. The asteroid was only spotted two days ago and at its closest point passed over the Pacific Ocean near Tahiti.

[Eek!]
Hardly any warning with this one, and we wouldn't have been able to do anything if it were on an intercept course.

True.

Also, random thought re: that asteroid: Why is it a "near-miss"? If it's a near-miss, isn't it a hit?

(Also. MUAHAHA. I'm the 666th post in this thread.)

It just never ends....link below.

quote:
And another one bites the dust. That's two publicists Whittier's Nadya Suleman has burned through since the birth of her octuplets (in vitro babies #7-14) at the end of January.

First, the Killeen-Furtney group withdrew their pro bono services after receiving a few too many violent threats (over 100) regarding their choice to rep the unconventional single mother on disability. Now publicist Victor Munoz has revealed "he quit as Suleman's rep Friday night," according to USWeekly.com. The professional ringleader explains why he's leaving the Suleman circus:

"It just got to be too much," he says. "It's pretty much a free for all over there right now. They are freaking out right now.

"Not to sound arrogant, but those people depended on me for everything," he continues. "You have no idea what I’ve had to do for these people.

"Nadya got real greedy. This woman is nuts," he adds. "This I can say: what ultimately destroyed the business arrangement was personal reasons."

Suleman seems to be struggling to maintain even the slightest grasp on positive press these days...

Last week Whittier police released disturbing audio tapes of her frantic 911 call when her son went missing; they also revealed the Suleman house had been visited multiple times by their officers and child services in the past several months. Further, her wish to sell the video of her giving birth is more fodder for lampooning, while gossip sites like RadarOnline have happily used her to find success for themselves.

Although she's rumored to be getting hefty cash for her "exclusive" video and longhand legal-pad "blogging" she is not netting the $2 million in endorsements she longs for, and recently turned down a local non-profit's offer for 24/7 childcare help because they wouldn't allow her to film an as-yet secured television reality show while they were working with her children .

Suleman is under pressure to prove she can provide for her children; the Bellflower hospital where the octuplets are staying may not release them to her, while the home she shares with her parents (and brood) may soon be in foreclosure. No word on if she's interested in adult entertainment company Vivid's offer for her to earn up to $1 million starring in a skin flick.

...Another one bites the dust....

Sadly, they're in no worse a position than many in the Child Services system- the publicity almost insures they'll be looked after by someone.

Nuts though she may well be, child exploitation for fame and fortune is hardly new: look at those isiotic channels that show specials on "multiples" as such a "blessing" while never the downside: the attention lavished on the stressed parent (in the show encourages attention seekers like this woman.

Where is the father in all this?

Actually, I think they have already identified the 'donor' as her boyfriend. I still think that they should hold the fertility doctor financially responsible for the children based on malpractice.

Well according to my local paper Suleman's father just bought her a half million dollar home with donation money. I bet you it's mostly from the large porn watching population that would rather give her money to not take her clothes off...
