The Compass will be the 4th vehicle in the Jeep line. It's built on the Liberty frame.

The production version wont look exactly like that, trust me. They usually tone down a lot of the design to make it more appealing.
Just like how the Jeep Liberty isn't as extreme as the Jeep Dakar concept it's based off of.

I hope you'll understand if I add a little something to the thread, Jeph, I found a site that explained "Megaforce" to me (Nice one, Shik). I saw this movie on a skiing trip when I was six years old, it seemed great at the time. Really! I was right about the memory of the vehichle designs, although I had successfully repressed the sights of those horrible, skintight plastic uniforms. This movie might've done more damage to my brain than I previously suspected.
I must post this excerpt from the review;
"Our hero, Ace Hunter (oh, brother!) is played by a post-Rocky Horror Picture Show, pre-Spin City Barry Bostwick. Our female lead is the personable Persis Khambatta, immortally known as "the Bald Chick from Star Trek: The Motion Picture".
Some of the names themselves just seem goofy. The "music" is by Jerrold Immel (!). The Associate Producer is David Shamroy Hamburger (!!) ("Ill have that with fries and a shake."). One of the editors is S. Skip Schoolnik. If he admits to the "Skip", Im not sure I want to know what the "S." stands for. Finally, were told that the film was "Produced by Albert S. Ruddy". If thats "ruddy" as in "red-faced", Im not surprised in the least."
I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE AGAIN!!!!!

My self-esteem is perfectly fine, Lee. I have it locked in my closet for safekeeping (along with my exuberant personality, youthful thinking, and my dreams).

That is the Jeep Icon concept. It's more then likely the direction that the next-generation Wrangler will go.
