Please, take our cold weather. Take our -18 degree Celsius weather with wind chill of -26.
Goddammit, it's been like that for the past month.

HA! S'at all you got? That's considered a mild winter day. Most of the time we average winter highs about -26 degrees Celsius. But it's been pretty warm the last little while. only about -16 degrees the last little while. Morning lows average about -30 degrees Celsius BTW. If you want cold and snow. Move to Canada. Well Saskatchewan anyways. It's usually pretty cold here.

Although I'm also from the Mid-Atlantic states (Snay's general area), I must sneer at anything that this coming storm is going to throw at us. I've been in Syracuse, New York while they were getting three feet dumped on them, and more!
I have a feeling that classes will be canceled on Monday...

On a related note, we've just been out window-shopping 4wd vehicles. While still tempted by the Toyota Rav4, its inherent driven-by-hairdressers factor has tended to rule it out as a real choice. We couldn't get a look in at the Honda CR-V because the dealer also does Citroens and seemed far more interested in selling them instead. The Jeep Grand Cherokee, Snay will be dismayed to hear, almost won but was ultimately beaten by the Land Rover Freelander.

Well, the regular Cherokee trumps the Grand any-day.
We got some snow. Not a lot. But it's going to snow again tonight, and they're forcasting that this new storm won't stop until Monday ... which means that in my fourth week of the semester (going two days a week), I will have missed HALF of my scheduled classes due to this stuff.

What are you doing?! No, no more snow! Heat, warmth, sunlight, bring it!
Oh, and the European Cherokee is just the Liberty. I'd rather take the Grand Cherokee over their Cherokee. The Freelander had to be expensive though. Is it the 4-door or the 2-door with the soft top?

I'm talking about the Cherokee Cherokee, not the Liberty Cherokee. Cherokee trumps Grand Cherokee, no mention of European models, which would be pointless, since the Cherokee was discontinued a few years ago.

Snow? Don't talk to me about snow. It's a regular Rura Penthe out there. Snow banks around my house are almost taller than my house. Regular temperatures around here this week were around -20-30 with a windchill around -30-40.

Well, since we're only looking at 2nd-hand, it could well be that the Cherokees we saw were old models. Certainly they only had GCs in the showroom. GCs were all that were available new.
We really want the 5-door, the 3-door Freelander is nice but doesn't really make for a family car, if you see what I mean. I think I've just about got Kate persuaded that if she has the running-boards added (they're not standard) I get the extra headlamps that look like torpedo launchers. I may have to give it a Danube-class name, some river or something. . . 8)
