Saying I have no sense? I just wanted a car that looked and performed better but would cost less than $100 extra a month.

No, I pay $97 extra a month on car payments, but my insurance drops about $30 a month. So in the end, car payments and monthly insurance it's only a $51 increase per month for a brand new car with a lot more power.

You know, I think if the Subaru logo was dead centre in that section, it would look a lot better. Of course, that would make it look a bit Ford-ish...

Still, I can't help but notice the mileage on your newer car compared to the old. You're actually paying more when it comes to gas. So what, is this a tradeoff of some sort?

The theory is that he's getting more power, so he doesn't mind losing the mileage....
Personally, I don't care about power, so I'd be worried about the mileage, but that's just 'cause I know that power + LOA = TROUBLE
The subaru also is AWD... which I don't believe the Mitsubishi was, so that's part of the trade off, too.
And, truly, the Subaru IS a better car. Not that the Mitsubishi was a bad car, but Subies will run forever and still be worth a lot..... Especially if you try to sell it someplace that gets snow... then they're worth a TON!!!

True, I sacrifice a few miles to the gallon. But considering what I get in return it's worth it in my opinion. Sure I'd love to get the 60 MPG that the Toyota Prius, but well, gay hippie cars aren't my style.

Haha... gay hippies aren't the only ones getting the Toyota Prius... smug up and coming young professionals that like to have a lot of gadgets are also getting them. My friend Antonia bought one after having a bad experience with a '05 BMW 530.
I guess it depends where you live... I did love driving the Acura TSX Sedan but I figured that in Los Angeles, I need something that is more economical.

Well gas in Charleston is relatively cheap. When I left San Diego I was paying $2.25 a gallon and got here where it was $1.80. Now it's currently about $2.05. Also Charleston is a tiny city, so much so compared to San Diego I barely consider it a city, so it's not like you have to drive very far to get anywhere.
I've driven up to LA, traffic so fucking bad I'd actually consider an automatic transmission since most of the time on the freeway I was lucky to make it past 2nd or 3rd gear.
