And you went in to politics?
Systems that work?

Maybe he's all about the challenge of making broken systems work...or he's engineer enough to see where he can take advantage of the system and become filthy rich! Remember us when we need that last minute pardon, Omega!

Which perfectly illustrates the difference between a weapon (like a gun) and a tool like a knife.
My Jacob's Ladder is a weapon- as is my ceramic floding knife- but I dont carry those around (and the 'Ladder is just something I bought because it's so weird).
The whole "assisted opening" thing on knives like switchblades is an intimidation thing- and it's not used for multi-use knives, and so is illegal. Really, I think it's the useage of something that determines weither it's a weapon or not.
Besides, switchblades are obsolete- my lockblade, with a hundred uses, opens at the flick of my wrist. Maybe lockblades could not do that back in the 50's, when spring-loaded blades were invented?

quote:The defector, Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, has admitted in an interview with Britain's Guardian newspaper that he lied to help bring down Saddam Hussein's regime.
"I had the chance to fabricate something, to topple the regime," he said. "I did this, and I am satisfied, because there is no dictator in Iraq anymore."
He's sooo proud of himself too! This vermin should be hung from his balls untill dead.
(sigh) once again, wars are fought and populations slaughtered because of the actions of a few (or one) asshat.
Someone feed this guy to the families of our roughly 5,200 dead servicemen.

Well..."we" did not do that one- that was all the good and justifiable homicidal people of Iraq.
This one though...well, we deserve to publicly hang a bitch over this clusterfuck too, damnit!
Maybe build the gallows in Arlington National Cemetary among the fallen from this terrible, pointless war.
Huh. I gotta stop following the news- I've been drifting farther towards the Chaotic Evil end of the alignment chart.

I suppose they did not offer a red security bathrobe to avoid litigation from slip and fall deaths, home invasions, etc. Too bad that's only available in the UK- I'd buy one for my roommmate's birthday next month.

I'm sure Koch Industries provide some good services, despite wanting to privatize energy and drive up the prizes, but after reading up on the vastness of their operation, it's hard not to visualize Koch factories with guards in black foam caps and M-16's on catwalks, and workers on the floor with breathing masks and hard-hats that would immediately drop whatever they have in their hands (boxes, racks of test tubes) to start punching and roundhousing anyone who sneaks in that doesn't belong, and then helplessly fall into the acid vat when getting punched back.

Funny, I picture hordes of idiot Tea Partiers voting Republican because they think Democrats are responsible for all the country's ills and that Republicans offer real change. People carrying signs reading "Keep your socialism off my Medicare" while faithfully buying Brawny paper towels and other Koch products.
Or maybe I think of Clarence Thomas accepting a blatant $70,000 bribe from them via the Tea Party employing his wife for...well, I'm sure she did something. (money which he "forgot" to pay taxes on- whoops!)
I almost expect the two Koch brothers to be Tomax and Xamot under padding and latex masks.
