After looking at the bitmaps, it looks what was thought to be the Galice/Galileo actually looks very much like GALLICO, as has previously been suggested. I stand corrected.

Thematically, Gallico makes the best sense. There's a distinct Trekkian vibe to his writing and it seems like the sort of stuff that the Art Department would dig.

I see either:

Capt. H. Ellison - Harlan Ellison, the New Wave Sci-Fi author

OR

Capt. R. Ellison for Ralph Ellison, the author of the Invisible Man, I know I'm probably in err, but it seems to be a possibility depending on Okudas interests.
