Graceful and Lithe people... Go to theonering.net there is some speculation that there is a similar Quenya word for ear which has a similar part to the word leaf... so maybe they could be a little pointed but there seems to be no description by Tolkien anywhere in tLotR or tH or tS that mentions pointed ears for elves. Supposedly in one of JRRT's letters he mentions that Hobbits have slightly pointed ears and a jolly ruddish complexion... nicely followed if anyone's seen Elija Wood in the preview...
