I once saw a movie called "Attack of the Killer Klowns From Outer Space!"

Edit: I cannot multitask. When I talk to someone on ICQ and write a reply at the same time my grammar and spelling die.

Come see the Star Wars double feature! With 'Attack of the Clones' in 3-D! Wow!

And as far as Lucas inventing Star Wars, I recall reading that he got the idea from an old Japanese anime. So really it would of been more like, "Hmm... y'know I could make a movie off this." I wish I knew the title of the anime though.

Killer clones from outer space!!!!

What is the guy thinking!?! This has to be some kind of joke. It couldn't get any worse. Unless the clones being referred to are an army of Jar Jar Binks clones: "Yousa peeple gonna die!!" (shudder)

I don't think he'd be saying on the official site that the title was going to be "Attack of the Clones" if he was trying to use the title as decoy. Unless he's going to do the thing in reverse.

What's the betting that by the time the film comes out, human cloning has become so controversial that they change it. . .

I kinda doubt that. For one, he was fairly obviously trying to do an updated version of the old 50s pulp sci-fi serials. Second, the plot of "The Star Wars", as originally written, bears almost no connection to the film that aired.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Um, in response to a post on Page 2, I said John Williams because he was the only other one I could think of. So, what about Doug Chiang, or Ewasn McGregor, or Hayden Christensen? Of course, they've already been filmed, so they couldn't object...
And I just thought of the possibly, also (that other people have stated), that this title is a working title, and not the actual film title. The movie comes out on May 22, 2002. The trailer won't be showed until December. Is it me, or was the title released a bit too early?

No, I don't think it's too early. Have they already finished principle photography ... ?

Slight unease about the title does not seem to be confined to us.

And the number of people over 20 here who can't spell "ridiculous" doesn't both you?

The radio has been taking the right royal piss over the title.

Why not "Star Wars- Episode II: The Clone Wars". Not as cheesy as the proposed title.
