Yeah, the Bruce Lee-movies were purer. Jet-Li seems to take after Jackie Chan too much, with the climbing on all surfaces and throwing objects. The ladder-fighting of "OUaTiC" was a bit much. Didn't Bruce Lee do "Fist of Fury"? I need to see that one, and "Game of Death"...
There wrere four trailers on the "OUaTiC"-tape, with five minutes of every movie. They really show too much in their trailers, like, one portion of every big scene in the whole movie...

Rockin' hilarious fight scene? Bruce Lee & Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1978's "Game Of Death." There's an homage fight scene to it in "Cowboy Bebop."

Actually, he died in 1973. July 20th, to be exact.
Billy Lo portrays Bruce Lee in Game of Death, which was released in 1978, and my roomate just left to go to work (nevermind that he was scheduled at 10am, what a doofus).

Chow Yun-Fat is Cantonese (but from Hong Kong, not Caton). I haven't seen Crouching Tiger yet, but several of my friends (only one of whom is Chinese) tell me it's good. As I remember back in Taiwan, if the actors didn't speak "correct" Mandarin, their voices are usually dubbed over by a different actor. I hated that because the voice is usually the idealized type that doesn't always fit the actor, and it sounds VERY dubbed. Actually, along the lines of what Shik was saying, different accents in characters would be more correct because you'd probably hear accents all the time in China.

I thought Fist of Legend was a remake of Lee's Chinese Connection. Either way I find Jet Li to be "purer" than Jackie Chan, who i think only plays for laughs now. That cartoon on WB pretty much proves it.

Yeah, but Lee still is my fav. Jeff, I think Billy Lo was the character he played in "Game Of death", they must've shot the scenes before he died. How can they have copied his moves and speed to that extent otherwise?
