I can honestly say that every piece of software on my computer is either paid for, or else is shareware that I'm currently trying out.
It's taken a while, and some of those applications I "borrowed" from my father's office starting three or four years ago, but I've finally caught up. All I can say is, thank goodness for the educational discounts! (Macromedia Studio MX: $800 --> $200 with discount for students and faculty.)

Yes, I know. But why would you need both?
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

i consider photoshop to be more of a tool for editing and coloring existing images, while paint shop is handier when creating a graphic from scratch. i definitely wish i had both at home.

Here's mine for the hell of it ... my laptop's desktop (reduced from 1024x768 to 800x600 and gif format). And regarding what program is better for images in my opinion, Photoshop 5.5. It's what I used to make this wallpaper from stratch.

Main benefit for me is the ability to remove most of XP's unneeded services that suck up system resources (which is why I prefer Win '2K - far less bloated).

I try to use the system clean up option which came up with a rather long list of unnecessary files. But the Tweak-XP crashes everytime I try to use that option.
