1977, apparently.

But, then, there's also this guy. So, I don't know.

And it's not that one was in the suit and the other was the voice, because he was the voice.

Edit: I guess I should have checked here to begin with.

Exactly. [Smile] And something the databank doesn't mention is that when the later shots were done with Maria, the Greedo costume hands weren't available for some reason. So they used the hands from the Duros costume instead. Hastily repainted, one presumes, since the Duros were blue.

I got the story from here.

In the incredibly sad circles I traveled in as a young boy, knowing that Greedo was played by a girl was the best way to establish nerd cred.

When I was a young boy, I knew not who "Greedo" was.

I first saw SW when I was a junior in high school.

Nerd cred: zero.

Return of the Jedi was probably the first movie I ever saw in a theater. Certainly the first I can remember. (I was three.)

I saw a re-release of ANH just a few months before ESB came out.
Then I saw ESB in the front row of an old theatre: the kind with a screen that seems to stretch forever when you're a kid of seven or eight.
I missed about te first 15 minutes though: the lines were literally down the block to get in nad I came in when the Wampa was beating on ol' Luke.

I fell asleep during the re-relaese SE of ANH and again in ESB....it was a rough time in my life and I needed the rest.

Ahhh, the memories... [Smile]

The first SW movie I saw was TESB. I saw it with my father, who introduced me to the characters. I remember when he first said "And this is Darth Vader", and I thought "What is this 'Darth Vader'? Some kind of satelite?", because, the first time we see Vader in TESB, we see only back of his helmet [Big Grin]

I also remember how relieved I was seeing unfrozen Han Solo in ROTJ photos [Cool]

Did you carry on speaking like you were a visiting dignitary for the rest of the movie?

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

As I recall, the first one I saw was RotJ when it was aired on television when I was a kid in Texas. My mom had never let me watch Star Wars before because she thought all the aliens "were weird".

At some point, I rented all the videos.

I also saw all three SE movies in the theaters when they were rereleased while I was in college. We stood in line for hours to see them all on opening night. There was a power outage during The Empire Strikes Back, though, and the movie stopped 5 minutes in. I thought there was going to be a riot and you could see that the theater manager was scared out of his mind.

Well it's good that you admitted it yourself, that goes a long way with the jury. It's sure to shorten the sentence, at least.

Well, you'd think so, since TSN didn't actually say that. But you know how juries are.

And my first theatrical experience with Star Wars was The Phantom Menace. Nerd cerd: -$BIGNUMBER.

Huh? I wasn't the one talking. Perhaps I made some grammar error and you are making fun of that?
