Well, the hostel I stayed at was a bit dodgey, and I was with too many people with too many opinions. But in general London was too crowded and touristy and EXPENSIVE. The Globe Theater was great, the British Museum was okay. There were a few things I didn't get to do because of the others, but I should've just gone off on my own, so that was my mistake. The money thing really turned me off, though, and the city wasn't impressive enough to justify the prices.

To be fair, you can't really see London in a day. And to be double plus fair, the best areas aren't the touristy bits anyway.
But yes, it is amazingly expensive. Apart from the tube. But that's hardly a "sight".
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

There's this pasty shop in Covent Garden that does the best pasties outside Cornwall. Go there. Now.

Yeah, seeing the non-touristy parts of London would be nice. I prefer that sort of thing, anyway. Tells you more about a place. To be fair, having gotten tired of L.A. I'm not too fond of smoggy, crowded cities or their tourist attractions. Though I do appreciate Brighton's prices so much more now.

Kate's birthday that weekend, we're away. The weekend after is clear, I gather there's a big anti-war demo in London on the Saturday, we could all go to that! 8)
