Ah. Feel free to ignore my PM, BX. I popped in here after I had already responded to your message -- but Jen and I may be able to meet you in Silverdale tomorrow. Give me a call anyway, and we'll see. Saturday for Zeek's looks like a go, and we'll plan things accordingly. As for dogs, Greenlake is an awesome romp zone.

My sister and I have figured out how to get to Silverdale tomorrow in two loads so my mother and her compatriots can do their part for the economy at the tender hour of 6AM, while our boat leaves at the slightly more reasonable 9. Much to my dismay, this means we'll be leaving there earlier as well. The long and the short of it is I will have a much greater say in where we can be when on Saturday, and I hope I haven't caused anyone any gross inconvenience.

(Thanks for the tip on Greenlake, btw)

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to get away at all this week. Or ever. And I will be buried under the floorboards. But, yeah. Plus I will be at work tomorrow. So I will be dependant on gratuitous picture-taking.

And then there were, like, 3. I'm sorry you won't be able to make it, Simon, but working is a less good excuse than dead grandparents, auto-accidents, and greusome road conditions. Invent something more imaginative.

I think that maybe skipping the Seattle booktrawl will wind up working better for me and my crew, Charles. As it is, the dogs are in for a profoundly long trip in the car.

Jonah, it was great to finally meet you and Jen. I look forward to spending a less manic and hopefully more leisurely time with you tomorrow. What time should we meet at Eagle Harbor Bookstore so as to get to Zeek's at 5 and still have some time to look around? We were planning to leave Sequim around 12:45; will that give us enough time?

The drive from up there has to be a few hours...

Skipping the bookstore is just fine with me.

The bookstore definitely wasn't an adult establishment. I think the University administrators would frown on that...

As for the rest, I'd like to catch the 2:55 boat, so we have time for a leisurely stroll through Seattle. Would you be up for kicking it back an hour to meet at Eagle Harbor at 2:00? Or thereabouts?

Call me.

BTW. Charles, I tried calling your cel phoen to let you know we might be later than 5:00 at Zeek's, but got a message saying the number was not in service.

You run out of minutes, and the phone stops working entirely? I thought that with Pay-As-You-Go mobiles (or whatever they call them in the US), running out of minutes just stopped you from making calls.

And isn't it "cell" phone? I do want to keep up with that crazy bastardisation of English that you use.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.
