I'm just in the process of uprating my home broadband connexion, so my home-computer is disabled net-wise, explaining why I didn't immediately post gloating, haughty and delicious posts yesterevening, right after Mattias Jonson SCORED IN THE 89TH MINUTE!!!! BRAAAAAAAAAAHMS!

My cat got all phloughy in the tail and back fur, when I roared in delight at our balancing goal.

Those bastard italians are telling everyone that we created 2-2 delibarately, saying "scandinavian conspiracy", the begrudging bastard italian bastards.
Look at the damn match, both teams threw everything they had at eachother, ffs.
Even Buffon, the italian goalkeeper I had great respect for, said the same shit.
Whatsmore, most all of those who spoke out were italian team players, who hadn't even watched the game when dropping these comments, having been previously indisposed.

You should've seen the state of the streets of Stockholm City core yesternight, it was boiling with carhorns, flags, hash-turnips and happy people. Mmm.

I hope we meet Germany on saturday, I have a feeling we'll take them better than the Niederlanders, since the hollanders have got a gamestyle similar to the danes, which work badly with our classic diamond-formation.
The germans are easier to compensate against.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

So, three out of four isn't bad. Germany join Italy and Spain in not going forward. Sweden play Holland, Denmark play the Czech Republic.

Denmark-Czech will be very even, I think.

And we'll certainly have our hands full when dealing with the oranges.

I have no experience with the portugese team at all, I haven't seen any of their games.

They have some in-built determination by being the home team, but then that didn't exactly manifest itself for their first two group matches: after all, until they won the third game, there was a chance they'd fail to get past group stage at all.

I take it then you're assuming that Portugal will beat England. I really can't guess what's going to happen there. I usually expect the worst where England are concerned, that way I'm rarely disappointed and occasionally pleasantly surprised!

Oh no, not at all. I truly meant that I have no foreknowledge to guide me in deciding a hypothetical game between England and Portugal.

There are people at my workplace who think the Czechs will win the Cup, what with beating Germany with their B-team and all.

Ooh, England-Portugal Silver Goal!!! 1-1 tie. I've never seen the silver goal feature before, it's like sudden death. First 15 minutes out. 15 more to go... This is very exciting.

This is football at its best, all left now are the penalties.
I can't believe it, second game in a row to reach 2-2, it's unhealthy for the nerves.

Silver goal isn't sudden death. It means that if one side is up after the first half of extra time, then the game ends. Golden goal however, is sudden death. The second a team scores, it's over.

Nim, do me a favour. If you play Portugal, can you beat the poncy, greasy, diving, cheating, lying, arrogant motherfuckers? Please?

Before they can say "Ciao", nudge nudge.
I stand corrected, Liam. And anyone can win at penalties, you played one hell of a game, talk about keeping even steps. 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4...
I have to catch a boat in six hours and I haven't even packed. I'll have to sleep on the boat. *sob*

Now we have a problem. It'll be Portugal against Holland, as they beat Sweden on penalties. The team who beat us, against the team that beat them. Who do we root for? Who?

No one. They will both be obliterated by the 700-pound bundle-of-fuck I'm going to detonate on the field at game start.

Unbelievable, the game played out exactly like with England-Portugal, right down to the penalties.
Admittedly, we thought Holland would be much more aggressive, not just our equals, and the game was won through luck, just like England-Portugal.

I've never seen so many offsides in a single game before, though...
